Mid-Coast Title Company, Inc. has been serving Wharton County, Texas since 1972.  It is the successor to Ingram Abstract Company which was established circa 1926.  Mid-Coast is the only title agent in Wharton County that is wholly owned and staffed by Wharton County residents.

The President and Manager is J.W. "Kirk" Kuykendall, who has been with the company since it was formed.  He served for 15 years on the Board of Directors of the Texas Land Title Association, was named "Title Man of the Year" by that Association in 1994, and served as its President for the 2000-2001 term.

The Wharton office at 111 North Fulton Street is staffed by Brenda Andel, who serves as Policy Secretary and licensed Escrow Officer.  Brenda joined the company in 1985.  Sandra Kachmar is an Abstractor and licensed Escrow Officer, and joined the company in 1990.  Laurianne Rachunek and Lynell Ustynik both joined the company in 1998 and work as primary Escrow Officers.  Kris Lanza came on-board in 2002 and serves as receptionist and committment secretary.

The El Campo office is located at 207 West Jackson Street in the law offices of Duckett, Bouligny, and Collins, LLP.  Primary real estate closer is Bobby Jean Kainer, a licensed Escrow Officer.  Vicki Schneider provides assistance.  James A. Bouligny, Ronald B. Collins, and Heath Radley are licensed Escrow Officers.
